Brussels See U – Chunk Shots

This series of Street photography in monochrome, picturing chunks shots of a peculiar popup place in Brussel’s heart. Suspended moments of suspended people who may be in between life turns, renewed ambitions, and long lasted projects. Like the start-ups, the artists, the opportunists, the curious, the dreamers caught within, heritage places in transition have all in common this everything-is-possible mood, inspiring and condemned all at once. 

I think Monochrome there reminds the Melancholy of passed lives already fixed in these walls. It is also the promise a memorable slice of time. The kind of you would like to keep suspended the most you can. Even after becoming cynical, there is a kind of magic here. Color is not needed. Out a time furniture meets out a time blocks, where a sink can become a flower pot, a storage can become an office, dust can become the soil of new born seeds.
